7.5.17  KidSummer - Birding 101 - Cape Cod Museum of Natural History
Brewster, MA

Leave it to an enthusiastic group of young birds to inspire me after the long holiday weekend!  What a happy group of kids, who all contribute their interest & knowledge of birds!  We got to visit the butterfly house first, then we were soon on our morning bird walk.

We were even visited by a young mole when we got to Wing Island!  It was a hot & sunny morning, which meant the weather was perfect for us to check out the trails for a time. We saw & heard many a bird, including a Song Sparrow.  I am determined for them to memorize certain bird calls by the end of the week.  I point out every bird we see and hear on our bird walks, so that they realize just how many species are in and around the expansive property of the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History.
