Promised Pictures from Matt's camera
Matt, thank you SO much for sharing these.  Now everyone can see what a difference Matt's camera, lens & skill make!  I LOOOOOVE these.  It's a beautiful reminder of that spectacular morning we spent on Wing Island with a flock of Eastern Bluebirds...
Enjoy!

The contrast of the birds and berries is unbelievable!!!

LOVE how the Bluebird is framed by the pitch pine's bark

Well... we started towards Cape Cod Bay...in search of a Snowy Owl we heard about, thanks to Kate... but the tide kept us away...
Thanks for joining in on this brisk and chilly morning at the museum!  We didn't see too much due to limiting circumstances, but I cannot ever complain about beginning the day out of doors.

We Saw:
Blue Jay
House Sparrow
Black-capped Chickadee
Red-tailed Hawk
American Crow
American Robin
mystery ducks in the distance...

Look where the largest branch heading skyward is connecting with a strong
tree limb.  CAMOUFLAGE!!!
When I start to lose faith in humanity...when I see
images like this against the sky, to me, it reminds me that
all is connected.  Sometimes I think this looks like neurons...
call me crazy...

More foliage silhouetted against the grey skies

I couldn't resist.  The contrast of the Mute Swan's white
is simply too irresistible to me.  I cannot stop snapping photos of them.
