5.1.15 - Bird Nerd Moment - Yarmouth, MA

So yes, the Pine Warblers are back in full force, and maybe your ears recognize their musical warble from the branches above.  They are one of the few warblers who will come to a suet feeder and since ours is still full... there he was!!!  I was within 6 feet of this bird, which is how I was able to snap a few photos of him.  He so nicely posed for me.  So YELLOW and yet, when they are in the grass and foraging on the ground, they are SO WELL CAMOUFLAGED!    The contrast of this plumage up against the blue spruce bark is nice and clear though.  I also was treated to a beautiful Eastern Towhee song and a quick Hairy Woodpecker visit as he was marching around in the dirt finding bugs to munch on.(double click photos to enlarge)
