Working outside and spending time with other Bird Nerds is an ideal way to begin the week.  I have a few photos stored up from previous walks, both Tuesday Tweets with the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, as well as Monday Morning Bird Walks through the Green Briar Nature Center in East Sandwich.

Thanks to Don for suggesting I try out blogger to be able to streamline the sharing of our bird lists and photos from each walk!  I greatly appreciate the input!

These photos above are from Tuesday Tweets at Cape Cod Museum of Natural History on 7.16.2013. We were treated to the rare morning sighting of a Great Horned Owl!  Those Northern Mockingbirds certainly gave her/him away in the pitch pine.  Others we spied that morning:
Tufted Titmouse
Black-capped Chickadee
Osprey
Song Sparrow
American Goldfinch
Mourning Dove
Barn Swallow
European Starling
American Robin
Eastern Towhee

We heard:
Northern Cardinal

The next birding adventure was a Monday Morning Bird Walk - Green Briar Nature Center on 8.5.13  We walked in beautiful flowery fields at Crane Wildlife in Falmouth

Our list:
Barn Swallow
Savannah Sparrow
Bank Swallow
Red-tailed Hawk
American Goldfinch
Cedar Waxwing
Eastern Kingbird
Chimney Swift
Grey Catbird

I was able to take more photos of the landscape than the birds this day...

We also heard that day:
Great-crested Flycatcher
Song Sparrow

Cape Cod Museum of Natural History - Tuesday Tweets 8.6.13

Our List:
